About Me

My name is Joseph Alameda and I am an assistant research professor in operation research at the United States Naval Academy. I received my bachelor of science degree in mathematics at California State University of Monterey Bay in 2016 and received my PhD from Iowa State University in 2021. I am currently researching zero forcing type parameters on a graph and how these parameters affect the structure of the graph itself, see Research. I strongly believe that anyone can be a mathematician, which is one of the reasons I love zero forcing. It is an extremely deep field that branches graph theory and linear algebra together, but it is easy to start research in. If you have any questions or want a current copy of my CV, please go to the Contact Me section and send me an email. I am always ready to start a new research project.
